This is an article (and a short video) on the K-E Diet.  It’s a fairly new hype in the U.S. that has been around in Europe for quite some time. The main appeal is how quickly one can lose weight from such diet. Basically, the doctor hooks the subject up to a feeding tube — through your nose and into the stomach — that drips fat and protein. The person would intake an average of 800 calories per day and absolutely no carbs. 

Now…….. ARE THESE PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR MINDS? Dieting has been around for quite some time, but this is taking it to a new extreme. A human body requires a certain progression to everything, including losing weight. You cannot expect to lose “20 lbs in 10 days” without consequences. Not only will your brain be confused with the sudden physiological change, you yourself have not developed the new lifestyle required to maintain such weight loss. Also, your body can think you’re starving yourself and actually start to STORE fat. 

Society places such high emphasis on weight and this “ideal” image of what a woman should look like. Remember, dear followers (ladies and gentlemen), weight does not determine how healthy you are. You should not alter your body to fit a number on your clothing. Health is about moderation, balance, and maintenance. Do not succumb to the ridiculous standards of our society! Happiness comes with health. A healthy body produces natural hormones that provide the energy and the emotions that make you feel “happy.” Ladies, let us educate our fellow friends and families about what health really is!
